Snagging identifies and corrects minor defects and incomplete work to ensure facilities meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
 
  • Pre-Handover Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of newly completed or renovated spaces to identify defects, incomplete work, and deviations from specifications.
  • Defect Documentation: Create detailed snagging lists documenting all identified defects with locations, descriptions, and photographic evidence.
  • Quality Assessment: Evaluate workmanship quality, material compatibility, proper installation, and adherence to design specifications and codes.
  • Paint & Finish Inspection: Check paint application for coverage, color accuracy, drips, and surface defects. Verify proper finish on all surfaces.
  • Flooring & Surface Inspection: Inspect flooring for proper installation, gaps, stains, and damage. Verify alignment, level, and finish quality.
  • Fixtures & Fittings Check: Verify proper installation and operation of all fixtures, fittings, hardware, and equipment. Ensure no damage or missing components.
  • Doors, Windows & Hardware: Inspect proper operation of all doors and windows, check alignment, seals, hardware function, and finish condition.
  • Electrical & Lighting Verification: Check all electrical outlets, switches, lights, and equipment for proper installation and operation. Verify correct wiring.
  • Plumbing Fixture Testing: Test all water fixtures for proper flow, drainage, and operation. Check for leaks and verify correct installation.
  • HVAC System Verification: Test HVAC systems for proper operation, temperature control, and air flow. Verify thermostats and controls function correctly.
  • Safety & Code Compliance: Verify compliance with building codes, safety requirements, and contractual specifications. Document any code violations.
  • Defect Rectification Coordination: Coordinate with contractors to rectify identified defects within agreed timelines and supervise corrective work.
  • Final Handover Documentation: Prepare final snagging reports, obtain sign-offs, and provide documentation confirming all defects have been addressed.
